This refers to youtube but some of the ways mentioned apply to other ways of watch a live stream.
A prerequisite is a good broadband connection. It might be worth doing a speedtest in the intended are using a site such as speedtest.net to check it is fit for purpose. You will need a download speed of at least 4 Mbps. This assumes you know how or some body who can do this.
With a parish it maybe helpful to have a goto person who can help or show others how to best help. It could be a role that the SVP team could help with as they often make visits to those uanble to get to church.
With youtube it is also possible to record the stream to allow playback later. This may help with outreach and helping does who need support to watch.
There are many ways to watch the stream online live. You do not necessarily need an account but it does make it easier in that you can subscribe to the channel to make it easier for repated visits.
Mobile / iPads/Tablets
Either download the youtube app or goto youtube.com in your browser app. The app is easier. Type in the name eg ‘Christ the King Coventry’ and search. When the search returns the answers select the stream (known as a channel) you require. If you select subscribe (red button/white text) then youtube will add this channel to your account if you have one.
Computers – Laptop/desktop/Mac

Smart TVs
With many TVs already being connected to the internet this method is ideal and also has the benefits of a larger screen. Again find the Youtube App and type in the name of the stream you want to watch.

TV Sticks
Not to worry if you do not have a smart TV you can still make use of your TV through using a ‘stick’. You may already have one. These include Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Roku. The all connect to your TV using HDMI. The cheapest of these is the Roku TV stick which is about £25- 30 on Amazon link
